The Climbing Zone

The Climbing Zone will actively engage and encourage climbers all over the country.

We are so excited to be launching a new event which seeks to engage and inspire climbers all over the UK. Held at the NEC on the 22ndand 23rdJune 2019, Extreme Sports Expo is the only UK event to unite all of the extreme sports audience under one roof.

The Climbing Zone at Extreme Sports Expo is highly interactive with a really challenging climbing wall (thank goodness for Mountain Training who are on hand to help if you get stuck). The Zone will also showcase the latest technology and equipment from within the sector and have a number of great speakers. All of this gives you the opportunity to get expert advice and enhance your climbing ability.

New to climbing? Don’t worry! The climbing wall has a beginners route and you will also be able to find out your nearest climbing club/ organisation so you don’t have to go it alone.

Join us at this fantastic event to explore not only the climbing zone, but all other areas of the event too. We even have a 160ft Bungee Crane! Register your interest for special offers and to be kept up to date.

We are also thrilled to announce that Mountain Training are supporting the zone and they had this to say…

“We are the awarding body for skills training and leadership qualifications in walking, climbing and mountaineering in the UK and Ireland. We’re really excited about working with Extreme Sports Expo and Women’s Adventure Expo to welcome new and existing climbers and walkers to the NEC in June 2019.

Climbing appeals to a really wide audience because it’s so accessible and really good for your physical and mental health; young or old, tall or short, traditionally ‘sporty’ or not, the climbing community welcomes everyone so come and join us in the Climbing Zone to find out what the fuss it all about! Give it a try, ask us questions about getting started and find out more about our new Rock Skills courses (launching in January 2019) aimed at enabling more people to enjoy climbing outdoors.

If climbing isn’t your thing, but you love exploring new places, learning the skills to be independent in the hills could be just what you need to have your own adventures. Exploring wild places on foot can open up a whole new world of possibilities and there are plenty of opportunities for socialising, exercising and just generally feeling good about yourself. Our Hill Skills and Mountain Skills courses are designed with exactly this in mind so come and have a chat about making your next adventure a reality.

We’ll share more details about what’s on offer at the show nearer the time, so for now stick the date in your diary, tell all of your friends and family and get ready to embrace the best adventure activities on the planet!”
